UPDATE: Tavern killing – one suspect in custody

The arrest was made in Oslo Beach.

UPDATE – 4pm

Police have arrested a 42- year-old man in Oslo Beach who is thought to be involved in last night’s shooting.

Police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka said police stopped a taxi in Oslo Beach and during a search of the vehicle, the man was found in possession of an unlicensed 9mm pistol and 11 rounds of ammunition.

Margate detectives are continuing with investigations.
