Be a super hero
You don’t have to wear a cape to be a super hero on national Slipper Day, this Friday, May 11, you just have to slip into your favourite footwear and go and buy a R10 wristband from any Wimpy outlet or Pick n Pay store to support the incredible work done by the Reach for a Dream foundation.
Last year Wimpy raised a whopping R1,4-million from Slipper Day bracelet and slipper (there are quirky ones on offer) sales and gave away 33 276 cups of coffee. By wearing your wristband you get a cup of coffee at participating Wimpy outlets.
Do support this initiative to help Reach for a Dream raise millions for children diagnosed with life-threatening illness and to make their dreams come true.

In town
Former Ramsgate local Sally Sanders and her husband Hugh who live in the UK, were `back home’ last weekend for a hectic catch-up with family and friends. Sal and Hugh, who are in the travel industry and head up AfriAsia and Beyond, are in South Africa for the annual Tourism Indaba which takes place in Durban this week. They spent the weekend at Ocean Gaze Bed and Breakfast and of course one of the highlights of being on the South Coast meant a visit to the Waffle House.
