The Kasified Spin Fest, to be held at Bar Endala in Gamalakhe, is a chance for car spinning enthusiasts to show off their passion and skill. Tickets range from R30 to R70.

“Since we are trying to bring back the township culture, we have to host a car spinning show in the township and, because the sport has been perceived as dangerous, we are trying to make people see that, for some, the sport is a passion that can also provide entertainment and empower local businesses.” said Musawakhe Khowa of Kasified Eksperience.

He added that, because spinning in the townships was often associated with gang members at funerals, Kasified Eksperience wants to change that mentality.

Participants such as the KDS Street Crew, Sparks n Sabza, Skhotheni, Sthwathwa Zuangh, Team Themba and many more will be spinning their cars. Kasified Eksperience will host a free to all ‘Sunday Chillas’ at Bar Endala on Sunday, May 20 at noon with local artists such as Mafaster, Afrosoul, Nhlanzeko and many more in the line-up.
