Swing-maker sought
The recent surfing competition raised R20 000 to help local surfers enter the National Championships. Some money was left over and is going to be used in community projects.
The first item is to rebuild the jungle gym at Tweni beach and someone who can make tyre swings is being sought.
Contact Mike Davies at 082 6376288 if you are able to assist in any way.
Stop it!
A drone has been spotted flying over Tweni in the Robin Lane area. This is an invasion of privacy and needs to stop.
Recycle responsibly
Dumping is still going on at the Commercial Road recycling bin depot. On Monday morning this week, your scribe watched two chaps from Isidingo Security carrying a black bag and boxes of paper across the road to leave next to the bins, before going back for more. When they were asked by Barbara van Blerk to rather put the papers into the recycling bins they obliged, but left the first load outside the bins.
Happy 60th
Last Saturday, young Mikash Perumal was the official deejay for Tweni’s latest sexagenarian Annamarie Beukes at her 60th birthday party held at Hillbillion Estate.
Rugby fun
Some local children had great fun playing U11 rugby for Izotsha, they did very well and won all four games, much to the delight of Coach Tienie Viljoen and proud parents.
