Halfway Toyota hike raises funds for South Coast Hospice

Although the walk was a fund-raiser, it also promoted healthy living.

For as long as humans have been in existence, hiking has been part of life. On the local front, the Halfway Toyota Cane Bush Hike, in aid of South Coast Hospice, took place in fine weather from the cul de sac close to Halfway Toyota in Shelly Beach last Sunday.

Fund-raising coordinator at South Coast Hospice BT King said that, although the main objective is to raise funds for the organisation, the walk promoted healthy living. “One of my greatest delights and joys was seeing the faces of the walkers at the finishing line, glowing from the feel of perseverance, tenacity, having conquered that ‘harsh’ terrain,” smiled BT.
