Excitement builds ahead of the inaugural Ugu Jazz Arts Festival

A feast of music awaits music lovers.

The much-anticipated Ugu Jazz Arts Festival takes place at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre in Gamalakhe on Saturday, June 30, and the line-up is is a star-studded affair.

The headline is the South Coast’s  very own home-grown talent,  Sisanda Nilsson. Now based in Europe, the ‘Indlela Yami’ hitmaker will be returning home to give jazz fans a special treat.

Veteran Selaelo Selota makes a welcome return to the Paradise of the Zulu Kingdom after putting on stellar performances during his previous visit to the coast.

Zimbabwean-born Oliver Mtukudzi, who has for many years been a master of his craft, will no doubt have festival-goers on their feet ad dancing to hits such as ‘Senzeni’ and ‘Neria’.

And don’t forget the new kid on the block, Mlindo The Vocalist. This young and energetic man from Gcilima is making his mark in the music industry with his hot single, ‘Amablesser’, and is bound to leave fans wanting encore after encore.

Zonke Dikana will also be taking to the stage, as will Dj Msheddy’s, so don’t miss out on this musical extravaganza.

Gates open at 10am with acts expected to start at noon.
