Homeless man found dead by friend near Scottburgh Caravan Park

The man had apparently been ill for a few days.

The body of a 32-year-old unemployed homeless man was found in the bushes alongside the beach near the Scottburgh Caravan Park at 7am this morning (Monday).

“The man had apparently been ill for a few days and last spoke to a friend who stays with him in the bushes, in the early hours of this morning,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Vincent Pandarum, “The friend later found him lying motionless on the ground. His body was cold.

The dead man will not be identified until his family, who live in Pretoria, have been notified.

A post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
