This grading is rarely attained and is only earned when a property receives the Top Resort Award in their category for three consecutive years.

The superior level of hospitality offered by First Group properties was once again exemplified when La Côte d’Azur earned a Double Diamond status, which is the highest RCI achievement in the Gold Crown category.

This was accomplished under the management of Petra Meyer, who was honoured with the general manager of the year award for her outstanding and valuable commitment to offering the best vacation experience.

The RCI Diamond status is rarely attained and is only awarded when a property receives the Top Resort Award in their category for three consecutive years – which has now been achieved three times by First Group managing agents. The splendid luxury and location, along with the passionate service and generous hospitality earned La Côte d’Azure  its first Diamond status in 2008 and its second in 2018.

First Group – who manages a wide collection of resorts, hotels and suites, and apartments and chalets throughout South Africa, Namibia and the UK – also walked away with over 70% of the wins atthe 2018 RCI OSCAS awards ceremony.

First Group Managing Director, Shaun Lamont, expressed his appreciation:

Being recognised with double Diamond status by such a highly respected organisation in the vacation ownership industry is testament to our collective commitment to the people that make us great – our valued guests. We’re extremely proud of every member of our team that actively contributed to winning this highly sought-after award and celebrate them for playing a part in making the industry so successful.

Perfectly situated along KwaZulu-Natal’s south coast, La Côte d’Azur features 58 luxury self-catering apartments that are stepped back from the Manaba end of Margate beach to ensure every apartment has a magnificent panoramic view across the gardens and coastal area. Being a stone’s throw away from the beach and within close access to all the main attractions in and around Margate leaves guests spoilt for choice.

This beautiful resort offers a wide variety of facilities that includes a heated pool, Jacuzzi and other outdoor activities along with daily entertainment programmes for all ages. The La Vita Spa has a wide range of wellness massages and treatments to ensure optimum relaxation, and the onsite internet café and coffee shop provide a wonderful space for socialising.

La Côte d’Azur is also proudly self-sufficient, with a generator and borehole onsite, preventing any possible disruptions from service providers.
