Walk in nature this Sunday

Registration (R20 donation) and coffee time take place at 7am.

Walking in Nature (WIN) fans are invited to take part in the Ramsgate Conservancy Marine Ramble and Wild Frangipani Trail setting off from the Ramsgate Whale Deck this Sunday, August 5, from 6.30am.

Connect with nature overlooking the Indian Ocean at 6.30am with a 30 minute relaxing morning meditation with Bernie Vorster.

 Registration (R20 donation) and coffee time take place at 7am. Walkers will set off at 7.30am for a fairly easy 4km walk (suitable for all ages). Dogs on leads are welcome.

Breakfast will be served at 8.30am at a cost of R30 (payable at the deck). Conservancy volunteers will serve delicious grilled chicken breakfast rolls with tea or coffee.

All funds raised go to Ramsgate Conservancy for use in their many environmental projects.

At 8.45am there will be a free recycled art demo with Wessa beach stewards. Explore the creative side of rubbish and learn how to turn trash into treasure.

From 9.55am to 12.10pm, authors John Costello, Helena Davis, Nick van der Leak, Rob Caskie, Kwazi Nglandisa and Luleka Mhlanzi will present various talks, which are free of charge.
