There would be no relief for local users of the toll road.

“A toll plaza would be built at the Izotsha interchange and there would be no reduction in toll fees for casual users. This, invited representatives from various local bodies were told at a meeting with representatives from the Roads Department last Thursday.”

But education got back on track. “Sister Joan’s school reopens after shooting. Students to sign a code of conduct.”

And the Port Shepstone local council announced it was inviting the new National Minister of Tourism, Valli Moosa, to Port Shepstone to receive a presentation on the marina proposals.

But there was bad news for birds: “Poison seems to be the likely reason why half the Cape griffon vulture breeding nests at Umtamvuna have failed.”
