Family fun tea
Sa Re Ga Ma Music Academy, under the banner of Port Shepstone Hindu Youth Society, is hosting a Family Fun Tea in support of Latisha Sadapal of Marburg who was diagnosed with a rare type of stomach cancer at the age of 24. Latisha has fought from the start with a fierce heart. She has completed her chemo cycle and had an operation to remove her entire stomach. Since the operation she has had several complications. The tea party will be held at Marburg Secondary hall on Saturday, August 18 at 3pm. Tickets cost R100 per person and entertainment is by Sarika and Akash of San Production. Harry and the Gupta
The Port Shepstone and Shree Hanuman Sanathan Dharma Sahba Mandir together with Mega Zone Media will present ‘Harry and the Gupta’, where Durban’s ‘Con of Cons’ meets Joburg’s ‘Don of Dons’. Fun walk/run
Bread of Heaven’s annual fun walk/run takes place on Saturday, September 8 at Port Shepstone Senior Primary School grounds.
Bread of Heaven is a non-profit volunteer organisation that supplies freshly prepared lunch packages to over a thousand school pupils and other welfare organisations in the Port Shepstone area on a daily basis.

Holy prayer
Gita Week/Shri Krishna Janmashtami takes place from August 27 till September 1. The Shree Raam Narayan Temple Society will celebrate this festival. Recitation and scriptural discourses on the Bhagwad Gita will commence on the first day. Services will takes place from 6.30pm to 7.30pm daily during these dates.
