Annual Art by the Sea exhibition attracts attention

There was a range of exciting work on display and for sale.

Art by the Sea’s annual exhibition and grand opening took place at the Margate Art Museum recently.

Entry was free and a variety of art pieces produced by the club’s members were on show and for sale. Art lovers had plenty to choose from. The guests enjoyed a night of good art and good food.

Judith Simpson was overjoyed with her ‘Best Seascape’ award for her water colour painting, ‘Curling Wave.’

If you have never been to an Art by the Sea exhibition you will be amazed at the exceptionally high quality of the work produced by the talented members of this well-established art group.

Andy Gardner won the ‘Best Collection’ category.

Art by the Sea has been in existence for more than 40 years and is still going strong. It has held many successful exhibitions at various venues. Different subjects for paintings are presented and explored. There is a monthly critique session and demonstrations are organised during the year. New members will be warmly welcomed.
