This was the fifth of the eight beach walks that make up the Shoreline Challenge.
The walks, each some 5km long, are held every second Sunday from June 10 until September 16 and cover the areas from Hibberdene to Manaba.

The first challenge, the brainchild of environmentalist Dave Hallé, was held in 2009 and saw challengers completing six walks from Hibberdene to Port Edward. The proceeds were used for a number of worthy environmental projects.

The next Shoreline Challenge takes place from Stages Restaurant in Port Shepstone to Oslo Beach on Sunday, August 19.
