According to Ramsgate Conservancy chairman, John Murray, the project was a joint venture between Ramsgate tourism and Ramsgate Conservancy.

Mr Murray said this was the last piece of the jigsaw puzzle regarding the dune project.

Scarlett Moon and Retha Murray are delighted to be a part of the opening.

The decision to have a community information centre had been taken in the-then Hibiscus Coast Municipality council in 2014 and had been met with many challenges; hence it was approved only in 2017.

Mr Murray said this centre would provide a proactive exposure and enhance tourism information for visitors.

Having a chat at the opening are (from left) Dawn Broadberry, Doreen Gaze and Zama Nkomo.

Community members, residents’ associations and businesses which contributed to the project were thanked.
