Port Shepstone police nurture future leaders with school project

The project prepares young people to address criminal conduct and anti-social behaviour.

A schools project created by the Saps to promote and nurture leadership development in teenagers in their respective communities was held at the Port Shepstone Saps conference room last Tuesday.

Titled the ‘Junior Cluster Commander Project’, the project prepares young people to address criminal conduct and anti-social behaviour and improves character building among pupils in schools.

Various schools in all the policing areas took part and finalists competed against each other last week where a winner was selected by a panel of judges.

Cluster Commander Major General Sethenya Nxamagele congratulates the winner of the Junior Cluster Commander Project Lilitha Ntantiso from Kathi High School in Msinsini.

Each station finalist was presented with a certificate from the Cluster Commander, Major General Sethenya Nxamagele as well as the judges for their contribution to the success of the project. The overall winner was Lilitha Ntantiso from Kathi High School in Msinsini.

Lilitha was handed a certificate and a trophy.
