Women given savvy secrets to success at business breakfast

Guest speaker, Palesa Phili, shared her secrets for juggling her duties as wife and mother while also running some of the biggest corporates in the province.

Women who attended the South Coast Chamber of Commerce women’s breakfast were in for a treat.

The breakfast, themed ‘increase your bloomability’, was held at Zizi’s Restaurant at Umdlalo Lodge in Umtentweni recently.

Renowned guest speakers switched it up, sharing health tips, discussing social issues and business matters and celebrating women’s month in style.

Guest speaker, Palesa Phili, shared her secrets for juggling her duties as wife and mother while also running some of the biggest corporates in the province.

Mrs Phili holds an MBA in business administration and has been a member of the South African Institute of Directors.

With over 20 years’ experience in the ICT and telecommunications sector, she is now the CEO of the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During her talk, Mrs Phili spoke out on how favouritism starts at home and how society has created gender imbalances before they are spread in the workplace.

She also encouraged women to love each other and support each other’s journeys.

Women were also given insights by Sanlam on the importance of making wills to avoid disputes when they leave their loved ones behind.

The Good Health Shop owner, Michelle Kaminer, gave health tips and explained how they could remain healthy despite their hectic lives.
