URGENT NOTICE: Planned water shutdown on Thursday – will you be affected?

Customers are urged to store enough water and use this sparingly as relief measures will not be available during the shutdown period.

The Bhobhoyi Water Treatment Works will be shut down for scheduled repair work on the raw water supply inlet flow control valve on August 30.

The water is expected to be off for a period of six hours, from 7am to 1pm, and the following areas will be affected:

  • Hibberdene
  • Southport
  • Anerley
  • Port Shepstone
  • Bhobhoyi
  • Shelly Beach
  • Uvongo
  • Margate
  • Ramsgate (north and south)
  • Gamalakhe
  • Murchison
  • Marburg
  • Nyandezulu
  • Msikaba and
  • Parts of KwaMadlala
