Look out for the travelling purple loo – donate and send it on its way

Funds raised from the roving toilet go towards Cansa.

All businesses are warned – there is a purple loo doing the rounds!

The fun initiative is to raise funds for the Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa).

The ‘can’t-be-missed’ bright purple toilet recently landed at the business of Above All Funeral Services in Port Shepstone, and owner Cabri van Zyl quickly pledged R500 and nominated another business to take up the challenge.

“The idea is that the business nominated has to match or better the pledged amount… and get it out of their business as quickly as possible,” said Di Saunders, volunteer for Cansa.

Cuppan sisters Michelle (left) and Debbie, who co-chair the Cansa Relay for Life, thank Cabri van Zyl , owner of Above All Funeral Services in Port Shepstone for his generous donation.

Everyone is invited to the Cansa Relay For Life annual 12-hour event, which will be held this year at Suid Natal Primary School on October 27 and 28 from 2pm to 2am.

The registration fee is R500 for adult teams or R350 for school/youth teams – with the option of fund-raising further.
