Do your bit this Saturday to help keep our beaches clean

The Beekman Group and the National Sea Rescue Institute Shelly Beach have teamed up to help educate the community on the importance of keeping our beaches rubbish-free.

Shelly Beach National Sea Rescue Institute and the Beekman Group invite you and your family to join them on a beach clean-up. The event, which promises to be both educational and fun for the whole family will take place from Izotsha River to St Michael’s beach on Saturday, September 15 from 8am. Gloves and rubbish bags will be provided.

Everyone is asked to meet up at the NSRI Shelly Beach station for a briefing as well as to learn about being water-wise from the crew. There will be a children’s quiz with prizes o be won.

Little ones who collect the most rubbish by 11am will also be in line to win some nice prizes.
