Murder accused, Donovan McInnes (31), remains in custody awaiting the outcome of his bail application.

Mr McInnes’s attorney, JP Venter of BDK Attorneys, said they had started the bail application, but the state brought forward new evidence (allegations).

“I asked the court for the case to stand down so we could file a supplementary affidavit to respond to these new allegations,” he said.

However, the magistrate could not proceed after lunch, and the case was postponed to today (Thursday) for the bail application.

Mr McInnes, formerly an estate agent in Umtentweni, was arrested at a house in Lyttelton, Centurion during the early hours of Saturday, August 18, for the murder of mother-of-four, Adele Bezuidenhout.
