UPDATE: Both bodies have been recovered after drowning incident at Sezela

UPDATE, 11.17am:
NSRI Rocky Bay crew were activated this morning shortly after 7am after reports were received of a drowning in progress at Sezela.
“I had my private boat, Miracle, on the water at the time and responded to the scene and our NSRI duty crew and Police Search and Rescue responded and our sea rescue craft Freemasons Way was launched,” said Station Commander Kevin Fourie.
Various patrols were conducted by NSRI and the SAPS.
“On arrival on the scene during a search for a missing man and a missing woman, reportedly swept out to sea after being caught in rip currents during a baptism in the surf, the body of an adult female was located in the surf behind the breaker line approximately a kilometer from where they were washed out to sea and we recovered the body of the female onto our sea rescue craft and brought the body to the shore,” said Fourie.
The body of the deceased female has been taken into the care of the Forensic Pathology Services.
Meanwhile, reports have just surfaced indicating that the body of the male had washed ashore at Sezela main beach.
Police have opened an inquest docket.

The body of the woman has been found, and taken to shore.
Meanwhile, authorities are still searching for the man who was swept out to sea earlier this morning.
ORIGINAL STORY:
POLICE are searching the waters at Sezela main beach for two bathers who this morning went missing at sea.
The man and woman, aged 60 and 58, are thought to have been conducting a prayer meeting when they went into the water and got pulled out to sea by a strong rip current.

Port Shepstone Search and Rescue are at the scene searching for the two men.
