Mayoral Cup action coming up at Margate Sports School

Transport will be made available for the teams taking part and refreshments and water will be provided.

It’s all systems go for the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality Mayoral Cup 2018 games to be held at Margate Sports School on Sunday, September 23.

The Mayoral Cup games were launched at the Port Shepstone Maritime Museum on Tuesday this week by Ray Nkonyeni Municipality (RNM) mayor, Cynthia Mqwebu together with local sports confederations.

The Mayoral Cup is an annual event, which according to the mayor, is aimed at developing young players and encouraging them in their sporting careers.

Local teams have played preliminary matches at ward and cluster levels.

Games include soccer, netball, volleyball, karate and chess.

Various prizes can be won, including brand new team jerseys, trophies, gold medals and new balls.
