Planned shut-down of Umtamvuna treatment works means no water in some areas today

Ugu has warned its customers of the shutdown of the Umtamvuna Water Treatment Works due to the tie-in on the newly-constructed phase of the Umthamvuna Water Treatment Works today, Thursday, September 20 between 8am and 5pm.

According to Ugu, this work will bring the newly constructed filter and clarifier structures online.

Areas to be affected are Port Edward to Southbroom as well as KwaXolo, KwaNzimakwe, Nodalane and the greater Izingolweni.
