He has also been a pillar of support as a supplier for the annual Lions' Show.
During its annual Lions’ leadership retreat formal dinner at Port Shepstone Country Club recently, Port Shepstone Lions paid tribute to 35-year-old Graeme Milligan.
Graeme has been the owner and general manager of the Harbour View SuperSpar and adjacent Tops Bottle Store in Port Shepstone since July 2013.

PRO for Port Shepstone Lions, Denis Meyer, said that a number of years ago, the club approached Graeme and asked whether they could run a food collection at the supermarket.
“Graeme was very accommodating and even went the extra mile to provide them with printed leaflets to hand out to customers explaining what foodstuffs they could donate.
“The club also holds regular diabetes testing clinics at the entrance to the store, where they always receive a warm welcome and plenty of support from Graeme and the supermarket staff,” explained Denis.
“During the Knysna fire disaster last year, Port Shepstone Lions spearheaded the KZN South Coast relief efforts and, once again Graeme was on board, providing discounted foodstuffs and allowing Lions to collect donations at the entrance to the store.
“Graeme more recently agreed to sponsor two shopping trolleys which are being specially branded for ongoing food collection projects.”
He has also been a pillar of support as a supplier for the annual Lions’ Show and annual senior citizens Christmas lunches.
Thanks to this extraordinary individual, the club has tested literally hundreds of locals and helped to raise public awareness for diabetes.
They have also managed to provide nutritious food parcels to hundreds of local needy families through donations received either directly from the supermarket or the food collections held at the entrance.
“Graeme is an extraordinary individual with a heart of gold. Port Shepstone Lions is so very grateful to him for what he, with his busy schedule, has done not only for the club but also for the needy on the South Coast.”
In recognition of his fine efforts, Graeme was presented with the highest District 410C award, a Louis Halse Fellowship, by club president, Lion Dale McGarry.
