Margate Moves: Phillippa and Sammy help children
Phillippa grew up in Ramsgate with her parents Rachel and Stephen Dilley and two sisters, Tabitha (Stentiford) and Jessica (Brinck) and she attended Margate Primary and Port Shepstone High.
Former South Coaster, Phillippa Morassi, is a registered counsellor who works with children to explore emotions through play.
As a devoted mum to her two-year-old daughter, Aurelia, Phillippa understands the challenges of being a working mother, juggling life’s demands while striving to fulfil one’s purpose.

“I have realised my lifelong dream of publishing children’s books in a series called ‘My Feeling Friends’. The stories are aimed at assisting children to identify and manage big feelings that can be overwhelming sometimes. The books are stand-alone stories which also teach coping skills,” she said.
Phillippa grew up in Ramsgate with her parents Rachel and Stephen Dilley and two sisters, Tabitha (Stentiford) and Jessica (Brinck) and she attended Margate Primary and Port Shepstone High.
She moved to Johannesburg in 2006 and her parents have since relocated to England.
Not only has she published the book series but also a package which includes a softcover book, a beanbag toy of
the character `Sammy the Starfish’ and a flashcard to remind children of the skills learned. The first story, about Sammy, deals with sadness.
The series was launched in Johannesburg last week and the KwaZulu-Natal launch takes place at Grow Occupational Therapy, Sugar Rush Park in Ballito on October 27 at 10am.
