South Coast Hand In Hand needs your help
Members have different financial backgrounds and some, despite their drive to rise above their disabilities, are unable to afford to take part in activities.

South Coast Hand In Hand needs your support and is asking for donations to its programmes.
A non-profit organisation, South Coast Hand in hand supports young adults with intellectual disabilities by helping them with crafts, basic cooking and arranging outings.

Currently, the organisation operates from the Lions’ clubhouse in Ramsgate on Tuesdays and the occasional Thursday.
When they are unable to use the clubhouse, the organisation relies on other venues that are sometimes graciously offered.
Funds are needed to help make their dreams come true; dreams that include having a Christmas party at which members could dress formally and exchange gifts with their friends, and premises where the organisation could expand and teach all types of skills.
Anyone who would like to assist can do so by:
* Sponsoring a member from as little as R100, per month;
* Giving a once-off donation;
* Funding or donating craft supplies for their next project;
* Funding towards the Christmas party or gifts;
* Donating dry or fresh ingredients for their cooking progamme;
* Holding a fund-raising event for the organisation;
* Purchasing the beautiful crafts that members have already made.
According to the organisation’s treasurer, Kim Matticks, members have different financial backgrounds and some, despite their drive to rise above their disabilities, are unable to afford to take part in activities.
“We want to create a safe environment where people with intellectual disabilities can be exposed to different craft activities, have meaningful interactions and learn new skills that will better their lives.”
If you would like to donate, contact Ms Matticks at 072 4389329 or visit their Facebook page, South Coast Hand In Hand.
