No payment, no water – Ugu to turn off taps to defaulting customers

Staff will provide official identification.

In an attempt to collect outstanding revenue, Ugu District Municipality staff are doing the rounds, visiting non-paying customers to conduct water disconnections.

According to a notice issued by municipal manager DD Naidoo, Ugu staff will be identified by ID cards bearing their names and photographs, and vehicles will bear the municipal logo.

Customers in arrears are urged to make payments on their accounts.
