Ugu Cluster police walk to promote cancer awareness

Proceeds of the walk were donated to Cansa.

Police officers within the Ugu Cluster took part in a cancer awareness walk from St Michael’s to Uvongo beach recently.

The event was organised by the Saps Ugu Cluster Peer Educators, Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) and Women’s Network.

The officers listened to an informative talk by Sesethu Senene on cancer and the importance of an early diagnosis.

Sister Yolande Prins from Clicks Pharmacy was on hand to test blood pressure, sugar and cholesterol levels as well as further advise the officers on health issues.

The event was well supported and proceeds of the walk were donated to Cansa.
