Over the years, she has advanced from being a nurse who worked in the wards and outpatient departments to finally being a monitoring and evaluation manager.
“Seeing how things have changed and improved at Port Shepstone Hospital gives me so much satisfaction,” said Mrs Coetzee.
“The hospital management thanks for her time and contribution to the outcome-and-evidence-based strategic decision-making which promoted a culture of evidence-based learning and adaption,” said Phumza Morai, public relations officer for the hospital.

After having served the hospital for 30 years, Ms du Randt felt change was inevitable, so she took a transfer to the Ugu health district office.
“There have been lots of great moments over the years and I’m delighted and honoured to have worked with my amazing team in the human resource division, and with the entire management and staff of Port Shepstone Hospital,” she said.
Managers, colleagues and friends met at Stages Restaurant recently to bid farewell to Mrs Coetzee and Ms du Randt.
Both were given tokens of appreciation and thanked for their efficiency and contribution to the growth of the hospital.
“We are all going to miss them and we hope they enjoy their future plans,” said Ms Morai.
