Corporate services head, Nelisiwe Thabatha, strategic planning and governance head, Siyabonga Zama and public safety head Sibusiso Nzimande were appointed for another fixed five-year term.

Their appointments follow a series of processes including recommendations by council to the MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Nomusa Ncube-Dube who has since responded, effectively confirming that the appointments are in line with the local government regulatory framework.

Council welcomed the MEC’s decision, and wished them well in the execution of their duties.
