Council cleans up

The Herald had met Ms Potter a week prior to the clean-up, and was witness to the litter strewn everywhere and the overgrown pathway to the beach.

Sea Park resident, Carole Potter can’t praise Ray Nkonyeni Municipality enough for cleaning up the pathway to the village’s main beach, just in time for the holiday season.

“It’s looking fantastic, all the bottles and rubbish have been picked up and the bush has been cut back. I would like to specially thank superintendent of cleansing, Sifiso Khumalo and his team for the wonderful job they have done,” she said.

The Herald had met Ms Potter a week prior to the clean-up, and was witness to the litter strewn everywhere and the overgrown pathway to the beach.

However Mr Khumalo was quick to act on the complaint, and it took the RNM team a day to get the area in tip-top shape.

“The most important staff in the municipality are those in charge of sewage and cleansing. We need to acknowledge them and thank them for the work they do in our district,” said Ms Potter.
