With many pageant titles already under her belt, such as Miss Tourism Universe South Africa 2016 and Miss Gamalakhe 2015, Amahle hopes to bring home the crown and make the South Coast proud.

Talking about the pageant, she conceded that the competition would not be easy as there were many other beautiful women from various countries across Africa taking part.

The pageant which is in its fourth year has never been won by anyone from South Africa, however, Amahle is quite confident in her ability to change this.

According to her, the pageant’s main objective is to interact with representatives from other African countries on various programmes, educate and empower young African women and be inspiring and informative.

“The pageant plays a role in uniting Africa by addressing xenophobic mentality and the various plights facing the African continent. It aims to assist in integrating young African women into the mainstream economy and promotes African beauty and culture,” she said.

Amahle is enrolled as a law student at the University of South Africa and works for a construction firm in Margate, she also runs her own modelling agency where she has been hard at work uplifting and empowering young women.

“I have high hopes of seeing more young girls from disadvantaged backgrounds breaking boundaries with less of them dropping out of school and more importantly being proud of their roots.”
