A pedestrian was attacked by two men on the R61 toll road near Shelly Beach earlier today (Thursday).
According to paramedic Glen Preston from Med-Evac Ambulance Service, the pedestrian managed to flag down a passing truck. The truck driver and staff apprehended the suspects.
“In the process one of the suspects was shot and the other assaulted. We treated both men at the scene and they were transported to hospital,” said Mr Preston.
It is believed that the pedestrian was taken to Port Shepstone Saps to open a case.
