Several shots were fired at a man driving near the Sphamandla Liquor Store in the Inkombo area, Malangeni.
“His car veered off the road and struck another vehicle which was stationary on the side of the road,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Adam Francis.
The driver attempted to flee on foot, but collapsed.

He had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was declared dead at the scene by EMRS paramedics.
A case of murder is being investigated by Detective Warrant Officer Brian Khoza of the Umzinto Saps.
