Preston prostitutes cause uproar among residents

PARK Rynie residents are frustrated at the ever-growing number of prostitutes operating in the vicinity of Preston Road and say that the situation is now completely out of control.
Speaking to the Mail last week on condition of anonymity, one Preston Road resident explained that despite countless requests for action directed to various authorities, nothing is being done about the sudden influx of sex workers to the area.
According to the resident, prostitutes now openly ply their trade during daylight hours and it would seem as though they no longer fear arrest or prosecution. Information received indicates the sex workers appear to be operating from a makeshift brothel.

He added he hoped to see more arrests made this year than last, and issued a stern warning that both prostitutes and their clients could face arrest.
Mail journalists last week followed up on information which led them to an area near Preston beach where prostitutes were said to be working.
Shockingly, dozens of condom packets lay strewn on the ground just five metres from the road. Residents are now calling on authorities to put aside threats of arrest and to take decisive action.
