Ramsgate Lions induct new president

Honoured guests and Lion members had the pleasure of attending the Ramsgate Lions’ induction dinner at their club house last Saturday.

Outgoing president Warren Theron paid tribute to both the Lions and Lion Ladies for their outstanding service to needy communities and individuals throughout the year.

Incoming president Vanessa Richardson brings with her a wealth of knowledge and commitment to the position having already shown great enthusiasm at recent fund-raising events and community projects.

Ms Richardson commented that it was refreshing and encouraging to see the interest shown in this vibrant and successful service club.

“When I was nominated as the incoming president, I said I would like the current board of directors to stay the same, and I stand by that decision. I feel they are more than capable of carrying out their current portfolios,” she explained.

Ms Richardson further noted that during her term she would like members to be motivated, excited, full of anticipation and energised for the next projects undertaken by the club. “I hope the feelings of goodwill and contentment flow into a year of fruitful planning and execution and that lots of people will see the benefits of our dedication,”she said.
