Sheppie Snippets: Church to hold conference

The conference will be held over three days in Palmview.

RADIANT Life Ministries situated in Mynah Road, Palmview is hosting a church conference ‘City Church Conference Port Shepstone’. Guest speaker is Apostle Thamo Naidoo from Gate Ministries in Sandton, Johannesburg. The conference will be held over three days, starting this Thursday, July 4 to July 6. A once of payment of R100 per person will be charged for day sessions.

Apostle Thamo Naidoo will be the guest speaker at the City Church Conference Port Shepstone.

Annual general meeting

The Port Shepstone Tamil Association will hold its 53rd annual general meeting (AGM) at the temple hall today (Wednesday), July 3 at 6.30pm. Guest speaker is Pastor Reggie John. All are welcome. For further information call 071 4835568.

Quiz night

South Coast Hospice will hold its ‘Quiz Night’ at the Port Shepstone Lion’s Den in Ambleside Road, Umtentweni on Thursday, July 18 at 6pm for 6.30pm. Flea market

Don’t miss out on the flea market at Halfway Ford, Port Shepstone this Saturday, July 6 from 8am. Look out for arts and crafts, fantastic food and flea market items. If it’s burgers, hotdogs, cold drinks, spiral potatoes on a stick, white elephant stalls and a jumping castle for the children then you are in the right place. Annual prayer

The Umbango Sri Siva Soobramaniar Alayam invites everyone to its annual Mariamman prayer (Porridge prayer) from July 19 to July 21. Flag hosting will be held on Friday, July 19 at 5.30pm thereafter bhajans in praise of divine Mother Sathi will be rendered.

On Saturday, July 20 the temple will host their annual Ganga Amman prayer, hawan will start at 12.30pm thereafter proceeding to My Den.

Oslo Beach. On Sunday, July 21 the temple will host their annual Mariamman prayer with hawan starting at 8am thereafter bhajans will be rendered. Lunch will be served and all are welcome. Diabetes day

Hibiscus Hospital in Port Shepstone will hold a diabetes open day at the hospital on Saturday, July 27. It is scheduled to take place from 9am to 2pm. There will be various talks, as well as information tables where people can find out more about foot health, the use of oral medication and how best to use insulin. A dietician will be there on the day to assist with the setting up of a proper eating plan.

Prayer

The Shree Raam Narayan Mandir will hold its annual Ganga Pooja on Saturday, July 27 at My Den, Oslo Beach at 2pm. Sa Re Ga Ma Music School and the Prema Jyothi Seva Sungam will do bhajans. Prasad and supper will be served. The Mandir will also observe Pancho Pooja the next day, Sunday, July 28 at the Mandir from 7.30am.
