Give a gift on Mandela Day

The items can be dropped off at Nashua Port Shepstone tomorrow (Thursday).

Nelson Mandela International Day, also known as Mandela Day, is celebrated on July 18 each year.

This day commemorates Mandela’s achievements in working towards conflict resolution, democracy, human rights, peace, and reconciliation.

Many people and organisations around the world take part in a host of activities to promote Nelson Mandela Day.

Staff at Nashua, Port Shepstone encourages all South Coasters to donate blankets, toiletries, foods items, educational DVDs or nappies to them which will then be handed over to the Ikhayalethu Home of Love and Care.

The organisation is home to 35 children living with mental and or physical disabilities aged from five to 22 years old. For further information contact Katherine Clifton at 039 6821014.
