Jasmin jets off to London

This wonderful opportunity will give her time to work, travel and explore the city.

Jasmin Rajaram (19) of the Port Shepstone Teddies, Brownies, Girl Guides and Rangers is jetting off to Pax Lodge in Hampstead, North London in September this year.

Jasmin is very excited about her new chapter and went through an extensive interview process and was selected to work at the lodge as a volunteer for four months.

This wonderful opportunity will give her time to work, travel and explore London.

Pax Lodge welcomes girl guides and girl scouts of all ages for tours, programme events and overnight stays.

The lodge operates as a hostel and as a venue and provides a mix of hospitality and programme event experiences.

The young leader has been a girl guide for 10 years and was one of Port Shepstone’s ‘big six’ rangers to travel to Pax Lodge in 2017.

“I love girl guides. It’s the best thing I could have done with my life,” said a very excited, Jasmin.

Leader of Port Shepstone girl guides, Panda Jolene Evans said Jasmin has continued to flourish since her last trip to London.

“She is achieving so much in guiding and I’m so very proud of her,” she said.
