Child (5) bitten by pitbull near Hibberdene

The little boy was taken to hospital.

A five-year-old boy was badly injured when he was attacked by a pitbull in the Nyangwini area near Hibberdene recently.

Police spokesman, Captain Petros Mpinge said the child was one of a group of children who were walking past a house when they were chased by dogs.

“He was bitten several times on his body. The owner of the dogs was away at the time and the matter will be submitted to the prosecutor for a decision,” he said.

The child was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Hibberdene detectives are investigating a case of keeping a vicious dog.
