Port Shepstone Rotary Club is hosting guest speaker, Jenny Coetzee who will be discussing ‘Into Africa’. She is an outstanding educational thinker and practitioner who has successfully established a private school in Nairobi, Kenya.
The short presentation will be held at the Port Shepstone Country Club on Thursday, August 1 at 6pm.

Science week
Don’t miss out on the National Science Week hosted by the Port Shepstone Maritime Museum from Monday, July 29 to August 3. This project is sponsored by the National Research Foundation and it aims to educate the public, especially pupils, about the impact of climate change on the ecosystem.

Comedy show
Hibiscus Coast Darts Association (Port Shepstone) is hosting the Dingalings. This is a fund-raising event for the association. The show titled ‘The best of Koobie and Henry’ will be staged at the Port Shepstone Civic Centre on Saturday, August 24 at 6.30pm.

School fund-raising
Suid Natal Primary School is hosting a dinner and dance at Van’s Roadhouse in Margate on Saturday, August 31. This is a fund-raising event for the school. Bread of Heaven
The annual Bread of Heaven Fun Run/Walk will be held on September 7. The fundraising target for 2019 is R250 000, which will sustain the organisation’s school feeding programme for the next five months. The programme benefits indigent and needy children from 12 public schools and creches in the Ugu District.
