Heavily laden stalls offered all sorts of traditional German fare. “Considering the chilly winter weather, it still was a great success,” said Karin Asbock of the German Lutheran Church. “As always, the bazaar was well attended and almost everything was sold out.”

Ms Asbock added that, once again, the meat sale which included a variety of traditional sausages and eisbein was very popular. The butter kuchen, kirsch torte and sauerkraut also proved a hit with bazaar goers.

Also, there were arts and crafts stalls and loads of fun activities for children. The German brass band provided the ‘oompah’ lending an authentic German flair to the event.
