Park Rynie road will be assessed

Ms Cele added that an assessment of the road would be conducted and "findings will ascertain level of work to be done and timeframes of rehabilitation".

THE Mail reported last week on a section of Rocklyn Drive, Park Rynie which was collapsing.

The road had been crumbling since April and despite being reported to Umdoni Municipality on several occasions, no progress had been made.

When the Mail enquired, Umdoni Municipality communications manager, Sphelele Cele replied saying the matter had been brought to the attention of the technical services unit.

Ms Cele added that an assessment of the road would be conducted and “findings will ascertain level of work to be done and timeframes of rehabilitation”.

A Rocklyn Drive resident was contacted to find out if any action had been taken, and confirmed that she had seen no changes over the course of the week.
