Wild Coast Sun employees benefit from wellness day
Personnel were educated on health-related issues such as HIV/Aids, cancer, TB and high blood pressure amongst other topics.
Wild Coast Sun recently hosted a wellness day for its employees to take some time out and evaluate their lifestyle and health.
Exhibitions from health experts, lifestyle coaches, and blood donation services were part of proceedings.
Personnel were educated on health-related issues such as HIV/Aids, cancer, TB and high blood pressure amongst other topics.
They also took part in a 3 km and 5 km fun walk and were given medals and t-shirts on completion.
IT Technician Neliswa Dotye said she would definitely take part in a wellness day again given the opportunity.

“Apart from having fun, I learnt the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle which will enable me to be more productive at work,” she said.
General Manager Peter Tshidi said Sun International takes the health of its personnel very seriously and from now on an employee wellness day will take place on an annual basis.
“Our employees are considered the most important assets in our business,” he noted.
The wellness day is channelled by Sun International’s employee wellness policy that aims to provide interventions that will build the employee’s capacity to deal with problems and allow employees to take responsibility for their health.
“It is also to improve productivity to reduce absenteeism, sick leave, accidents and to enhance the morale and stamina of the employees,” added Mr Tshidi.
