Robbers pounce on sleeping woman

She awoke when she heard two men opening her bedroom door.

AN Amandawe woman was robbed at gunpoint in her home during the early hours of August 8.

According to police, the woman awoke when she heard two men opening her bedroom door.

“Both men had their heads covered, and one was armed with a firearm,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Adam Francis.

The woman was ordered not to scream.

One man stood guard over her while the other ransacked the house.

“The intruders then instructed the woman to remain in the bedroom while they fled with cell phones, a gas stove, a microwave and a home theater system,” said Captain Francis.
