Teamwork that makes dream work
Thank you to all our club members who came to watch and support the bowling, sometimes (understandably) with the odd bit of bias.
WHAT a wonderfully successful August Tournament and all because our clubs worked in union, as one body, to make it such.
Compliments from all and sundry visiting clubs flowed in about the daily fare, the registering facilities, the greens, the Aching Joint, the daily welcoming of bowlers, the bowls shop, the ambience and friendliness of members and the exceptional hampers that were raffled.

A massive thank you to all members who contributed so generously towards the seven hampers that were again so beautifully presented by Jeanette Beamish and to Pierre and Marietjie van Wyk who worked tirelessly to collect the contributions and assisted Jeanette.
Marietjie and all her helpers deserve a special thank you for the marketing of raffle tickets.
Alan Burningham and his team assisted in the smooth running of registration and green fees collection.
Pierre van Wyk received accolades for the daily welcoming of bowlers and explanations of the day’s procedures and competition rules.
He helped run the tournament with aplomb, finger never off the pulse, his contribution immeasurable.
The women dished up delicious teas, sandwiches and meals without fuss or fanfare.
Cheers to all the bartenders who kept the refreshments flowing with friendly faces and warm smiles and a special thanks to those who assisted without hesitation when ‘traffic flow’ was at its peak.
Alex Cameron did a sterling job in keeping stock levels high.
Further, bowlers were provided with a wide choice of bowling gear and apparel, thanks to Ellen Cawker.
Len Brickhill, a very big thank you for the effort put in to provide the bowlers with exceptional greens to ply their trade on.
Compliments were received from many teams some of whom rated our greens as some of the best that they have played on.
Thank you to all our club members who came to watch and support the bowling, sometimes (understandably) with the odd bit of bias.
