Scottburgh High’s science expo impresses

The expo was open to the public who were suitably impressed by the standard of the inventions on display.

YOUNG scientists at Scottburgh High put their thinking caps on and came up with some innovative inventions for this year’s internal science expo.

The pupils worked hard on their projects which were displayed in the school’s Strelitzia room on Thursday, August 1.

Lucaran Govender has come up with a novel way of deterring monkeys.

A handful of pupils judged to have the best projects on show weree chosen to compete against pupils from other schools in the area.

From there, the sky is the limit, with the possibility of making it through to the nationals, and perhaps even the international round.

Congratulations to Talia Naicker, Alandra Duplessis, Paige Russell and Mikael Ganesan who were chosen for the regional round.
