Shelly Lions donate blood glucose monitor
Zethu Gambushe, who works at the NPC aggregate quarry in Margate, was the lucky recipient.
THE Shelly Beach Lions Club is serious about diabetes education and awareness.
Working together with NPC Intercement, the club donated a blood glucose monitoring system to diabetic Zethu Gambushe, who works at the NPC aggregate quarry in Margate. Shelly Beach Lion Clint Fray said Abigail Kok, the resident nurse at the NPC Simuma Plant, will assist Ms Gambushe to manage her diabetes.

“As diabetes is one of the five key foundation projects at Lions International Worldwide, we are delighted to be able to help assist Ms Gambushe with this testing machine, as we know diabetes is a silent killer,” he said. “Together with the help of NPC Intercement’s support from Sister Kok, we know her life will be made just a little bit safer,” he added.
