BREAKING: Biker killed in crash on South Coast

The accident occurred on Seaslopes Road.

A motorcyclist has been killed in a collision with a motor vehicle on the South Coast late this afternoon (September 1).

Craig Botha, spokesman for Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service, said the accident had taken place on Seaslopes Road in Margate at about 5pm.

He said the biker had suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.

Two other people were injured.

“Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found the driver of the car in a severe condition entrapped in the car. The passenger suffered minor injuries. Paramedics stabilised the patients while firefighters worked to extricate the driver with specialised rescue tools. The patients were transported to hospital for further management,” he said.

Margate police are investigating the cause of the crash.
