Sheppie Snippets: Support the Bread of Heaven family fun day

The event will be held at Port Shepstone Senior Primary this Saturday.

THE annual Bread of Heaven charity run will be held at Port Shepstone Senior Primary this Saturday, September 7. Some of the fun activities planned for the day include, cupcake decorating, face painting, tug of war, pop the balloon, food stalls and many more fun activities for the family.

The 10km ambassador run starts at 7.30am (the runner needs to raise a minimum of R500 to participate).

Church bazaar

The Reformed Church South Coast (Gereformeerde Kerk Suidkus), on the corner of Colley and Bazley streets, Port Shepstone invites all to celebrate spring at its bazaar on Saturday, September 7 from 8am to 1pm. Shoppers can stock up on lovely home-baked goodies, hand-made and second-hand items and so much more. For the foodies, there will be pancakes, jaffles, curry and rice, a tea garden and many more tempting delights. For further information contact Liana Schutte at 084 5813809.

Market day

Come and support local vendors at the community market at Halfway Ford Port Shepstone next Saturday, September 7 from 8am. Don’t miss out on the jumping castle for children, food stalls, arts and crafts and so much more. For further information contact Johan at 081 8184203

Fishing compo

The annual Maistry Rock and Surf fishing competition take place on September 21. Two of the designated fishing areas are the Sandspit and Margate pier. Starting time from 6am. There are great prizes to be won with special prizes and gift hampers for women and scholar anglers.

Entry fee is R50 per person. Weigh-in and prize giving will be at the Action Sports Bar, Marburg at 2.30pm.
